  • High school and middle school birding teams from the Upper Main Line YMCA compete each year in the World Series of Birding, a 24-hour birding competition with the entire state as the field. For the first time in the 30-year history of the event, high school team "B.B. Kingfishers" won the contest, beating out the teams of older, more experienced adult competitors.
